AI workflow for choosing the right social media platforms for your business

132 posts this week, 6 platforms, 1 AI workflow to help you know where to focus on social media

Hi there,

Letting go of who I’m expected to be and embracing who I’m becoming is one hell of a journey!

On the one hand, I’m excited and in continual forward momentum. On the other, I’m lost af and doubt everything.

What a paradox to be in.

But I’ve made a commitment to myself that this is what I do now.
I create content, I work with incredible people.
I’m believing in myself at all costs.

So, here we are!

In other news, we’ve had a major heatwave in Ireland this week!
It hit 26C, that’s news in these parts.
It’s been bliss… and very disruptive to working!

Sticking to my 500 posts in 30 days challenge has meant turning down beach days, road trips and picnics in the park

but honestly?…

It’s been so worth it, because discipline at this level
is an act of deep self love.
And that’s exactly what I need right now.

Week 2 Results 500 Posts in 30 Days!
(your exclusive look before I post to socials)

Creating content isn’t the hard bit.
Creating consistency, self-belief and frequency?
That’s the challenge.

Here’s how the numbers look:

Week 1: 116 Posts 1st-6th July
Week 2: 132 Posts 7th-13th July
Total: 248 Posts 🎉

So what’s actually working?

LinkedIn is my growth engine, the place I understand the most.**

→ 30 new followers from 7 posts is amazing!
→ Impressions are down but people are still connecting
→ The best-performing content? Honest, story-driven, slightly unhinged but useful →

Also, comments can go viral now (yes, really). I saw one with 62k impressions

Hot tip: engagement matters more than ever be first on big creators posts in your niche, reply with value. Find outliers in you industry and comment, watch what happens.

Check out the number of impressions on these comments in comparison with the post impressions!

Big Creator Account

Outlier on small account

TikTok is my reach engine

→ I posted 10 times and got x2 the views of LinkedIn

→ Engagement per post is strong, but conversion to followers is still slow.

I still have a lot to learn here, but early signs indicate, this platform is worth the ROI for ToFu.

Instagram is bottlenecking

→ 36 posts across 2 accounts, 3.8K views, 90 engagements… but 0 new followers

→ To be expected the is no clarity, just messy posting.

→ I suspect, posting too often without strong hooks and challenge update fatigue. → That said, IG is showing my stuff, I’m seeing impressions go up, just not growth yet.

Editing is my current nemesis. For now, it’s confidence building over quality content.

Threads

→ Threads is quietly working, no stress, small wins. → I post whatever’s on my mind, repurpose, test themes.

Using PTNC vs NG accounts to test tone, this is my low stakes playground and I’m kinda loving it, the convos are also awesome.

X & Bluesky

→ Almost no visibility, no interaction, no clear data.

→ Just reposting for now, not making them a priority

TL;DR:

LinkedIn is my professional visibility and trust builder

TikTok is for reach and instant idea feedback

Instagram quality & clarity is needed to grow

Threads is fun and low-pressure

Newsletter is still my favourite place, depth > dopamine

AI Workflow of the Week: How to Choose Your Platforms

So how can you decide which platforms to be on for your business?

Let’s figure out which 1–2 platforms are worth focusing on based on your business type, content strengths, and target audience.

Here’s the workflow:

1. We find your ideal place to shine

Drop into ChatGPT with your answers:

You are a content strategist helping me decide which social media platforms to focus on.

Here’s a bit about me:

  • Business type: [e.g. service-based, product-based, creator]

  • Target audience: [e.g. B2B, Gen Z creatives, wellness pros]

  • My current content strengths: [e.g. writing, video, storytelling, education]

  • What I sell or want to promote: [e.g. digital products, coaching, freelance services]

Based on this, suggest the top 1–2 platforms I should focus on.

Also tell me:

  • Why they suit my goals

  • What kind of content I should focus on for each

  • Where I should be repurposing (if at all)

2 Then we need to make it actually doable.

Let it get to know you a bit more.

If you're neurodivergent, time-limited, or have a specific goal (like list-building), add something like this:

Please consider that I…

  • Only have 1-2 hours/day to create

  • I am dyslexic but full of ideas.

  • Prefer low-pressure posting / batching content

  • Want to drive people to a newsletter

  • Don’t edit video (yet).

Re-rank platforms if needed and suggest workflow-friendly options.

This part is gold especially if you’re neurodivergent or chronically overwhelmed.

3 Cross-check platform fit with marketing goals

Ask ChatGPT:

Based on what you know about TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, and email

Match each to a core marketing outcome like:

  • Discovery

  • Connection

  • Trust

  • Conversion

Then rank them in order of priority based on what I need right now from all of the information I have given you.

This workflow is powerful.

It’ll give you a clear roadmap of where to show up, where to stop showing up, and why.

Ok, that’s all for today!

Hit reply, and let me know how you’re content is going this week (:

Hope this was useful.

Until next week, happy creating!

You’ll find me on my socials… but not so much on BlueSky & X!

Stay Remotely Social 💅,

Nikki 😉
