The art of creating something from nothing

Hey there,

Turns out, finding freedom by building something you’re proud of… isn’t that easy.

The blank Notion page will stop you in your tracks every single time.
The self-doubt will pop in to say hi at every click of the mouse.
The sense of self is in constant motion between lost and found.

But there’s no going back now, the bridges are burnt, the path to return has washed away. It’s just me, my laptop and ChatGPT.

So how’s week 1 of ‘freedom’ gone? Slow, very slow.

I got stuck in planning and over planning and planning some more.
It brings me comfort, it seems, and a good dose of fake perceived progress.

Coming down from years of overworking just to be seen, just to fit into something I was never meant to fit into.

Now, all I want is to create something I’m proud of, somewhere I belong, that belongs to me.

Whatever this becomes, it starts here, it starts now.
For once, not to prove anything, not to be accepted.
Just to build something I believe in, something that matters to me.

And that’s where it gets scary.

It matters
This matters
I MATTER.

All a work in progress, and learning to love the process as I go.

I’ve no polished system or workflow, no 5 step framework to buy you back hours in your week.

I'm a [your job title/business] and I want to build a personal brand to build authority and thought leadership on social media. Ask me questions about what I have to offer, what I'm into, where my knowledge is at to create a clear picture of how I'll post.

It snapped me out of perfectionism.
It reminded me that freedom starts with expression, not performance.
It led to 28 content idea drafts being ready for Nicola Gwillym and Part Time Nomad Club.

I’m going solo.

At the end of the week, I’m heading off on my next part time nomad trip.

But this time for the first time in years, I’m becoming a solo female traveller 👀

Like the latest Instagram reintroduction trending carousel goes…

I’m 7/10 scared because when you’re in a long term relationship you loose things you used to love doing in the name of shared experience, sharing, is great but I think it’s important to maintain a sense of my own identity, so I’m packing a bag and off I go. I always solo travelled as a single 20 something and had some of my biggest revelations while doing it.
