Plan 1 Week of Content in 1 Hour (without the overthinking)

Reset with me after not posting for a while and gain momentum back fast.

Hey there 👋,

Welcome back!

I admit it. Guilty. This past week, I’ve been low-energy, unproductive, and stuck. I got sick last weekend, and everything fell apart.

Trying to understand video has felt overwhelming, and instead of moving forward, I got stuck in overthinking.

A clip from one of my nomad reels over on Instagram:

Thinking about being a total beginner again in video creation, has never felt so unappealing, it’s not landing like it usually does. Normally, I jump at learning something new. Take learning a second language, I literally dive in, learn a phrase and find a stranger to talk it out with!

Not video, not talking to the camera. I feel like running the other way. I think it might be the vulnerability that goes with it, doing something you’re not good at in public.

But as social media personal branding expert Donavan Barrett says:

”If you’re good at video on your first post, you started too late”.

It’s affected my whole content game. But here’s the thing… Content creation isn’t about being perfect every day, it’s about showing up and knowing how to reset to get back into momentum fast.

So, instead of beating myself up, I created a simple 5-step easy guide to plan 1 week of content in just 1 hour without burning out or overthinking.

Note: You’ll need extra time for the execution of your creative and copy, but the bones are there to work from, which makes the whole thing way more doable.

Of course, we’re using AI to help.

Let’s get into it…

Step One: Start with your content pillars, target audience & pain points

One of the biggest mistakes people make? Winging it every day and trying to come up with ideas from scratch.

How to Define The What, How & Who

What do you want to be known and remembered for?
Who is your ideal audience & what do they care about?
How will you deliver? How will you meet their needs?

For example, my content pillars are:

Social media AI workflows
Social media strategy & tactics
Remote work & digital nomadism
LinkedIn & Instagram personal branding

Every post I create falls under one of these themes, making content creation simpler, more strategic, and more effective.

Action Step: Use my AI Clarity Workflow to do this with ease. You’ll find written steps here, or visual step-by-step instructions here. It’ll give you results like these:

Step 2: Use AI to Find Your Best Past Content

The goal here is to get going again as quickly as possible. We could get into analysing your data on the backend of LinkedIn, but let’s use this pretty good free AI-powered Chrome plugin instead, Kleo.so for speed.

Once installed, you can use it to see your best-performing posts and sort by content format, date range, or engagement type.

Choose your profile and click the icon on the right corner:

Use those ideas to repurpose with a fresh take, fresh image/graphic or things you’ve learned since then. You could even turn it into a video! 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

Step 3: Find Proven Content Ideas in Minutes (Using AI)

Instead of spending hours brainstorming or trying to reinvent the wheel. Or an even worse time sucker, coming up with ideas on the fly. Let’s use AI to find content ideas that already work.

Pop back into Kleo.so and do this:

  1. Analyse the top-performing posts by your favourite creators.

  2. Find their best content by reshares, likes, format, or time frame.

  3. Identify a post of theirs that might translate well for your content.

We’re going to use this as our inspiration as we know it already works:

We can see Lara got over 2k likes, 1k comments and over 40 reposts on this video, so we have an idea that it was a banger of a post in terms of impressions.

I joined her Literally Academy and would highly recommend it for all things LinkedIn personal branding. She breaks down exactly how she does it, and she introduced me to Kleo.

Once you have 5-7 strong, proven ideas, you’re ready to map out your week.

Next Steps:

  1. Make a list of your top 5 creators, they can be from any niche, your niche or adjacent.

  2. Use Kleo AI to analyse content and save the links of 5-7 posts to create ideas for your content.

Step 3: A Really Simple Content Framework

Once you have your content ideas from your best content, your fave creators and any other industry news or ideas you already may have, plug them into this easy posting structure to remove any guesswork.

Each post has a goal, each post follows a theme. My goal is post x5 per week on LinkedIn.

Steal this and use it for your niche:

Monday: Educational post (quick tips, carousels, tutorials)
Tuesday: Thought leadership (opinions, predictions, mindset)
Thursday: Industry insights (tools, trends, industry updates)
Saturday: Social proof (case studies, wins, testimonials)
Sunday: Personal story (lessons, struggles, behind-the-scenes)

This way, you never start from a blank page. You just fill in the structure with your own content.

I always choose weekend days to post as there appears to be less content put out, but people are still scrolling. Plus, it’s the days I’m off my 9-5 and can engage more.

Choose the days and times that are best for YOU to be consistent on.

Next Step: Use the 5 content ideas from Step 2 and assign them to days using this framework.

Step 4: Create Your Go-To Templates for Graphics, Photos and Videos

Canva is your bestie & BFF for this.

Choose 1-3 already created templates, move them into the sizes you need and adapt them for your brand (add the colours and fonts to create familiarity).

Then, all you have to do is create a copy each time and pop in your text, images or clips.

Step 5: Set A Timer for 25 Minutes to Find your 5 Ideas

Now, take your weekly plan with the content ideas plugged in.

Try this:

  1. Look at the first line of the caption, the text on the video thumbnail, the first line of the talking and change it to fit your niche.

For example: Lara’s video has 3 hooks that tells us why this worked so well:

The caption: ‘This is the content hack entrepreneurs use on LinkedIn’
The video text on the thumbnail: ‘How to write content on LinkedIn’.
The first sentence of her talking: People don’t want to be educated anymore, they wanna be entertained, especially on LinkedIn.

The common themes: The keyword LinkedIn. Calling out the target audience, answering a common pain point (how to write).

Follow up with a strong rehook before you go into the body:

How you can adapt this for your niche examples:

Social media niche:
Hook: This is the hack business owners use to stay consistent on their social media.
Rehook: It’s not [use your expertise here]

Remote work niche:
Hook: CEOs think they can hack remote work systems through endless meetings. Rehook: It’s not [use your expertise here]

Public Speaking niche:
Hook: This is the hack top public speakers use every time they step on stage.
Rehook: It’s not [use your expertise here]

Now, plot the main points you’ll share and decide on a format.

There you have it. Repeat this x5, and you have X5 proven ideas in less than 1 hour for your week of posting ahead.

You’ll only have to find clarity on your content pillars and audience once, create templates and then list out your fave content creators, so it may take longer the first time, but next time it’ll be even quicker.

You can either batch content this out or create each post daily. Use ChatGPT to help with the rest and edit it to fit your voice, content approach and pillars.

The difference you’ll experience by having a reset plan in place is that you’ll have your ideas and hooks ready to go.
